Junior Emcees

Kamera Lavenia Mason

The wonderful Kamera Mason is a McElderry Park resident and student at Henderson Hopkins Elementary/ Middle School. Her many talents include singing, dancing, and making you smile. Currently, Kamera is also playing the flute and taking lessons at the Peabody Institute. Kamera is in the 2nd grade and her favorite subjects in school are Math and Reading. Kamera is also a Girl Scout in Troop #1239. During her “after homework” time, Kamera enjoys gardening, after school programs, and summer camp at Amazing Grace Church. She’s very excited to meet and talk to you all next week at the 3rd Annual Spring Fling! #MeetKamera

Tyler Dubose


The energetic Tyler Dubose is a member of Amazing Grace Lutheran Church and a student at Pleasant Plains Elementary School. Don’t try Tyler in any sports because he enjoys ALL of them. Tyler is in the 2nd grade and his favorite subjects in school are Science and Math. Tyler also enjoys traveling and he looks forward to attending college so that he can take care of his family. Speaking of family Tyler spends a lot of time with his grandma (Dierdre Randall- Ms. Pixie) volunteering at the Amazing Grace Food Pantry. Tyler is a long term member of Amazing Grace’s Summer Camp, a very good friend of the community and he’s also excited to meet and talk to you all next week at the Spring Fling. #MeetTyler

Maya Camille


Host of the open mic, Ova East at Mica Place, Maya enjoys long walks on the beach, poetry, a good book, and a glass of wine. Maya is a McElderry Park resident and newly elected quadrant leader at the McElderry Park Community Association. She is one half of the Neo-Pop duo “To Be Determined.” #TBD and enjoys performing in around the DMV. Maya is a poet, a rapper, and writer who believes words can change the world. She currently serves as youth ministry coordinator, after school program leader, and choir member at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church. Maya will see you next week at the Spring Fling! #MeetMaya!

Demetrio Lance


Lance Cooper also known as Demetrio Lance has lived in McElderry Park for 24 years. He graduated from the National Academy Foundation High School and spent a semester studying acting at NYCDA in New York. Over the years, Lance has been working creatively with Amazing Grace Lutheran Church, Centerstage, Johns Hopkins, Charm City Clinic and Morgan State University. He is currently a Community Artist in the McElderry Park community and Registrar/Community Engagement Coordinator for The Revolution Within at the Center For Grace-Full Living at Amazing Grace. Lance is the second half of that Neo-Pop duo To Be Determined #TBD and is now spending time working on recording or performing in and around the DMV. #MeetLance
